Tuesday evening I set off on my annual heather pilgrimage to the Salt Cellar on Derwent Edge, setting off from Cutthroat bridge heading over the moor to pick the path up onto Derwent Edge where I would stop to take a few shots during the 1.5 hours walk to get there. I stopped at Whinstone Lee Tor to get a couple of photos before carrying on up Derwent Edge, the sun was doing its best to break through the clouds producing some fabulous rays and a dramatic sky over the lichen covered rocks in the foreground.
