108 Dawn at Higger Tor
108 Dawn at Higger Tor

Friday was one of those mornings that makes the early alarm completely worth it, I grabbed my gear and headed over to Higger Tor for the sunrise. I could see the first colours starting to build as I made my way onto the edge then the sky lit up in layers of pink, purple and fire, spilling across the gritstone edges and into the Burbage Valley below. Standing among these ancient rocks as the first light touched the Peak District is a reminder that some moments simply can’t be rushed, the sky certainly put on a show. A quiet reminder that the best moments often arrive before most people are even awake!
