Boxing Day morning I looked outside to see thick fog so I decided to make the most of it and head out for the sunrise choosing to go to the top of Pindale to see how it would pan out. Driving up through the valley the fog was so thick that visibility was down to a few yards so I didn’t know what to expect higher up, luckily the sky was visible with some fantastic high clouds and with the lower mist I was getting some wonderful soft pastel tones, this was the view 40 minutes before the sunrise looking over the Cement Works (which was totally shrouded in the mist) with the fence and trees in the foreground helping to create a lovely atmospheric image.
