24. Eye of the storm
24. Eye of the storm

Thursday evening with sunshine and heavy showers forecast I decided to head out to Millstone Edge as these conditions can result in some dramatic images.
Heading up onto the edge the light was wonderful, thick storm clouds were moving rapidly down the Hope Valley but the sun was brightly shining behind them creating fantastic shafts of warm light to spill over the landscape. By now the rain had started with vengeance so I sorted my composition and placed a cloth over my lens and filters to keep most of it off then it was just a case of whipping it off firing a quick shot and covering it up again.
I got completely soaked but came away with a big grin on my face and a few shots that I’m really pleased with this one being of my favourites of the day.
