A shot taken just over a week ago during some of the best light I’ve seen for a long time. I’d gone up in the evening as the forecast showed sunshine and rain which can result in great conditions, I arrived up on the edge and could see the storm clouds building but strong sun behind them produced fantastic light throwing down golden shafts. This was the view looking down over Hathersage and the Hope Valley and I just loved the way the sun has illuminated the river and put perfect shadows of the trees onto the fields.
