Tuesday evening I did my annual heather pilgrimage to the Salt Cellar, setting off from Cutthroat bridge and heading over the moor to pick the path up onto Derwent Edge. I arrived at the Salt Cellar and although the heather wasn’t as good here as previous years there was still nice clumps to be found that could be used in my compositions adding lovely colour while the sunset produced some wonderful golden light to the scene.
