Tuesday evening I headed out for the sunset taking the walk up Derwent Edge to the Salt Cellar, it was a lovely evening with plenty of sunshine and a good stiff breeze to keep the midges away. I really enjoyed the walk up as the heather on the moors looks stunning but I could see the cloud building up as I neared the Salt Cellar and made it there with just a few minutes before the sun disappeared. I quickly set up my camera getting a just few shots before the light died, the light bursting through the clouds looked stunning and I loved the way it was spotlighting the small area on the fields near the reservoir creating a nice dramatic image.
