73. Evening light on Stanage
73. Evening light on Stanage

Yesterday was a very productive day spending a good while clearing the garden (I think we will all have nice looking gardens in the coming weeks!!), taking off the snow tyres and washing the car so I thought I’d earned an hour up on Stanage with my camera. It was lovely to get up onto the edge and catch the golden hour light and although the sunset didn’t happen I was treated to some lovely conditions albeit windy and cold. I thought these rocks side lit by the low evening sun made a fantastic foreground element to compliment the far reaching views along the edge and also a good opportunity to try out the focus bracketing function getting everything in sharp focus from the rocks only a few inches in front of the lens to as far as the eye can see.
