36. Curbar Edge dawn

Yesterday morning at 04:30 I glanced out of my window to see dense fog so immediately grabbed my gear and headed over to Curbar Edge for the sunrise, Driving to Curbar I was in thick fog all the way until I approached Curbar gap and everything cleared and I could see right over the top of it. It was still pretty dark when I arrived on the edge but could see a little colour developing behind me then gradually it became stronger until the whole sky lit up with a fantastic display complimenting the pinks of the heather. I think you could say it was well worth getting up for
