We passed St Benets Abby on the boat and from seeing this place I knew I just had to go back at night for a spot of light painting. Luckily there is a mooring less than 5 minutes walk from here so we moored up for the night and I went after the sun had set to have a play.
I didn't take many tools on holiday but did have my new 'ball of light tool' which I used to spin the orb, I then added the light trails with a pixel whip finishing off by side lighting the structure to bring out the textures of the stonework plus a light pass of blue light on the brickwork behind the orb. All done in one exposure with no photoshop apart from converting the single Raw image to JPEG and resize for web.
